I for one, Mr Cooke, think that looks very nice, almost as good as my little blue number (ha ha). Today I fitted my new low-profile linkage kit to my twin Webers on the number 1 Mini...............and the bloody bonnet still won`t shut! Aaaaaaaaaaarrrgh! Oh well, gotta face facts and make a hole in it.  :ohno:

Drilled all the spot welds out of the bulkhead to toeboard cut round the bad welding from inner wings and toeboard and voila one rotten panel removed. Just a bit of tidying up with a flap disc on the grinder and then ready for new panels.

Looks cool, I like that.

Changing the subject slightly, what colour is your Mini? Looks similar to mine, but mine is painted in tractor paint.

Fitted some rear interior wheel arch covers from optimize automotive, along with some rear bin covers.

Glued on and looking good, but the negative voice in my head keeps telling me the glue wont hold and when I check tomorrow they will have fallen off.

Used it, washed it

Changed the wiper blades, swapped a cracked windscreen wiper bezel for a brand new pair I had in stock (silly money !!) melted the ice in the washer bottle and filled with proper windscreen wash fluid and found 10 other jobs to add to the list....

Won't be using it today, head hurts....

Here`s an example of how my luck runs - I`ve had a bonnet air scoop for sale on a certain auction site for ages now. Last night I decided to use it myself when I have to cut a hole in my bonnet on the number 1 to clear the carb mechanism. When I booted up the puter tuday and went to emails the first thing I found was I`d sold the bloody air scoop!!! Typical. I`ll have to use the fibreglass bonnet now with the bulge in the top, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Happy new year everyone!!!! :D

Finally have something to add to this thread.

Today I finished rebuilding one of my brake calipers, which means only one more to go !!

That is all.

Phil.

Door hinge broke and I managed to smash my headlight when I slipped with a jack pole in my hand, got in 5 mins ago after spending a good 4 hours in the cold figuring out ways to fix my hinge and putting a new headlight on, all is well now but I had a nightmare !
