Merry Christmas everyone. Being on my own - no violins plz, I am quite happy - I sorted the vacuum pipes out on the 7 port Min. Under the bonnet now looks like a plumbers nightmare but hey ho. Popped down to the coach yard to see if my new radio will plug into the existing wiring - it won`t, bugger! Found the indicators don`t work either, hope it`s just a fuse.

Went to the depot today and sorted me indicators. To my surprise and delight it was just a fuse at fault. Took it for a spin round the block and noticed the poor little thing was choking. When I got back I took the air filter off and it was much better so got to raise the carb jet when I`ve bought the diddy spanner for the job.

That's one of the two classic cars my wife wants to own herself. The other is an e-type, so I'd say the Torana has a much better chance of becoming reality!what is the other car in that photo?Drove it today!!
The Mrs took the other toy out for a drive and we stopped for a photo shoot... heeheehee....
Fun Fun Fun.....
Cheers and Merry Christmas to you all!!!
A damn awesome piece of Aussie History! I believe that it's a LJ Holden Torana and I'd guess that has a 186 or 202 engine.

You'll actually be able to drive the Torana and truth be told, having driven an E-type, you'll enjoy the Torana so much more too.

Went to the depot today and ran my blue bombshell up. When it had warmed up I raised the main jet a bit and she runs much sweeter now. While I was doing that I discovered that she had a stage one kit fitted - oops, I didn`t declare that

When we got her, she had the full walnut pack fitted; unfortunately the door cappings had cracked and delaminated quite badly. Decided to strip it off this week. the walnut burr is glued to a wooden form underneath; the glue only comes off with a heat gun and takes forever. I noticed the wooded bit was also staring to delaminateand underneat that is aluminium. SO- stripped all back to the ally then cleaned up and voila! + a little carbon fibre wrap and patience,
