replaced a headlamp bulb; you know how one job invariably leads to many? this then meant taking out all the surrounds, bezels, etc. the lamp bowls were rusting so they needed stripping back & painting, the bezels got a good clean up, then the fixings to the front wings were a bit crap so I made fresh ones from stainless strip, except my hole punch left some sharp bits on them- resulting in me finishing the work with my fingers taped up with rags and masking tape in an attempt to stem the (copious) blood flow from my punctured fingertips after fitting the sodding strips and keep the blood off the bodywork....(failed)

                             :(    oww.

Can't really tell as the work is all on the inside when the light is refitted- need to wipe the blood off next!

Washed, hoovered, rear speakers fitted, fixed one of the rear arches that was loose, replaced all the arch and will trim, filled with fuel and packed the boot with some of the stuff for brighton. Then back in the garage!!

not today
but at 11:30 last night on the way back from work (about 200 meters from my house) my headlights cut out. So I creeped home on the light from my hazards.

Wow, they are gorgeous... Question for you though, did you take the head off and replace the gasket, or just swap the rocker assemblies over. I still haven't plucked up the courage to take my rocker assembly off to replace the shaft, for fear of disturbing the head gasket (I am a woos).

Didn't take the head off initially. Tried our very best to replace without disturbing the head gasket but no juice, it leaked like a sieve so put another AF470 on. Oh, and another gallon of Valvoline  >_<
