Stripped the engine down the bare minimum. Disconnected the exhaust and gear selector and got the pot joints out ready to lift my very first engine out and strip it down.

Seats out. New sound deadening in, new carpet, custom consoles centre piece in. wires in place for speakers

RE; Clifford alarm,,,,I carefully removed my walnut dash,Removed and de-soldered all the alarm connections including the siren ,glass sensor,remote aerial,valet button and the alarm control boxes put all the bits in a carrier bag.Then got a lump hammer and smashed the damn thing to pieces.......Ohhh the peace and quiet, and no more flat battery :proud:

Went to Halfords, got a flywheel puller and valve spring compressor... Then split the gearbox and block and got oil everywhere.

Nipple greasing! I hate filling the sodding grease gun then trying to get the screw cap back on aginst the spring tension!

You need one with the plunger lock, mine I just lock the plunger, screw it on then release the lock and it's ready to go ;)

Thanks Cam, I will be looking for another one - spent more time fiddling with the grease gun than doing the job!!  Thats what I get for buying a cheapo Halfrauds one! :lol:

I've got a Draper one, it does seep grease if I leave the plunger in/under tension so I normally pull the plunger out and use the lock so the grease isn't under pressure and the seeping stops (I also used PTFE tape on the threads)
