Just drove it, for the second unseasonably dry and sunny day in a row. Nice to get some more time out in it before it is put to bed for the winter. Got a thumbs up from a guy in an old triumph stag, and some waves from some fairly drunk guys coming out the pub!

Also felt I got decent value for money. Which was a pleasant change.

Only the speedo cable and dash liner to fit. Completed bravely without a wiring diagram.
I was dreading rust but all sound.

Today the revering lights on my blue auto are going to work.
Yesterday i found no continuity in the G/BR wire from the switch to the back end, no continuity in the G wire from the heated rear window, though the heated rear window switch does have power. The reverse light switch itself works (checked with multimeter & the reverse lights themselves work when I put power to them via a connector in the boot.
So I suspect connectors in both G/BR & G wires.

I have been considering this conversion is it a particularly straight forward conversion. I have a 3 clock mini. Have seen minispares do a loom conversion for this and I will probs also wire in a tacho in front of the steering wheel. Is there anything else I would need to consider. And had anyone else used the loom from minispares ... Sorry to hijack thread.
