Removed the Sportspack arches and painted them - in our loft - fitted the beading to them ready to be refitted - again - tomorrow :)

 

Still waiting on my order from Minisports at Padiham.... really getting pissed off now too.... wish I hadn't bothered...

 

They sent me an email telling me they will send the parts as soon as they arrive sometime next week.... MoT is on Friday next week....

Went to Aldi today they had there compressor reduced by £20.00  I got to tell my wife she's bought my xmas box

Bought a nice 16v li-ion drill in there myself today, very nearly bought the 18v drill and impact driver set but I knew I'd regret spending the money with Xmas right around the corner

Replace Radiator, water pump, thermostat and belt, no more noise. it took 2 hours and heat to finally get the thermostat housing off

Engine/subframe out - the first time I've lifted the car off rather than the engine out through the top.

Reinstalled the interior after fitting the arches :)

 

Also soundproofed the rear bins and seat squab and seat backs, hopefully will sound like a proper car inside now...

 

Also fitted a Fletcher cat back single box stainless exhaust, thought it might have been slightly louder but turns out I think its quiter than the twin box that was on originally.... 

 

Also purchased a pair of adjustable rear camber brackets, shall fit them when I sort out the rear brakes with the Minifins :)

 

Anyhoo still waiting for my order to turn up from MiniSport...

I'm also waiting for parts from minisport, ordered 5 weeks ago, had to wait 5 days for some stock to come in.....took them a month to dispatch my bits, and now I see from the tracking info, they are ready to be delivered......in Switzerland.....Awesome! I live in F**king NEW ZEALAND

I wouldn't mind but they're not that far from me, if they say they are in stock or are due in, I might just go and collect them.... only an hour up the road...

got mine back from having a bit of welding done  so I've taxed it for the winter ! - really enjoyed having it back!!

Fitted aluminium sump guard (using rivnuts - dead posh)

 

Fitted brand new towbar, was in middle of wiring the 12N plug when it got too dark to remove the petrol tank - just for 2 wires to be connected...!!!

 

Fitted steering column dropper bracket thingy.... feels loads better, also moved the seat back 1 hole too...

 

Tomorrow i shall be finishing the towbar wiring and then fitting the Minifins and new Mintex shoes....

 

 

 

Had a look at how bad the welding needs doing for its MoT, shouldn't take much to weld up, then hopefully take me Mini along for its annual test, and come home with a pass....

Ordered some Carbon parts. From Carbon Weasel.

Finished wiring the towbar electrics, took my little trailer for a ride to make sure it was OK on the Mini, didn't even know it was being towed... (only weighs around 35KG...!!!)

 

My Minispares order arrived... well mostly, was missing the alloy interior handles but polybush teardrops turned up so I can get-on with them tomorrow...

 

Will be off to MachineMart at the weekend to collect a new Mig welder because my old one is goosed, doesn't feed the wire anymore
