Started it up for the first time in 2 months, and gave it a little drive around outside the garage. Takes a lot of cranking to get it going after sitting for so long!

I just manufactured two securing bolts for my battery clamp, Short end the earth lead from the battery to the body work in the boot, tried to start him up after 3 Weeks he dosnt want to play today

well I've been wiring in a centre binnacle only to realise my speedo cable won't work with it nightmare haha

It's not a heat shield its a water protector. the dizzy etc is all behind the grill so can get soaked when it's raining.

Excuse me as i dont know much, but what does the heat shield protect please? And why does it need protecting?

You should have one unless you have an MPI. I can't remember if the SPI has/needs one.

which spray did you use?
It's called VHT vinyl dye.
