Covered my self in lots of tiger seal, then tried to get it on the car as much as possible guess I will get there one day and figure out how to work it properly

Sealed the edges of my new vynil roof with silicone and repainted the rocker cover.....     but maybe using the wrong paint....

Opened the garage door and looked at it

fitted the other chrome door mirror and tried my yellow headlight converters - not sure if i like or not

Started it up for the first time in over 6 years!!!    Before I did we did an oil and filter change, new plugs and HT leads. Dizzy cap and rotor arm looked fine so we left them on. The battery was a new one too.

 

The alarm activated as soon as the power was connected but we expected that. I put in the over ride code and it was fine. There was about 5 seconds of turning the engine over with not a lot happening so I stopped and tried again and it fired straight up. I was chuffed as the fuel has been in the tank for 6 years. after a couple of minutes I started easing the choke back in and the car settled down to a nice idle.

 

It will be back on the road this year!

Got the first coat of primer on

Cleared all tools and stuff from around the car to be able to get ready for paint. Dusted off the roof ready to clean up bits of surface rust that have come through the primer tomorrow then will re zinc prime that finish some small bits of seam sealer and shoot some satin black tomorrow

Changed my awful EBC Black Stuff pads to good 'ol Mintex pads, and did this on the last stud...

Removed all internal carpets, seats, and started to dismantle roll cage, also made a start on removing the engine and got held up by the rad not wanting to be removed !!

fitted grill buttons - they are a smart idea. I also cleaned up a couple of the air parts - like the air box and air scoop ready to go back on.

 

What I DIDNT do was fit the choke and heater cables back through the bulkhead because the grommets I ordered on Wednesday with NEXT DAY DELIVERY still didn't arrive. Even allowing for Good Friday ou Would have expected them - NOT HAPPY!!!!
