Started the de chroming, only done with a rattle can to make sure I liked it. Will get it powder coated soon 

 

 

Is that the Beacon Road....?

 

My nephew lives just round the corner from there who also has a Mini, his is white with a chequered roof and rusty headlight rings.... you might have seen it maybe...?

 

Hi, Yes it is Beacon Rd.

 

Can't say I have seen that one, there is a white one down by the pond, and another red/black one by the Stanley Pub, think there maybe a lime green one there as well

He used to live on Stanley Rd at the bottom, think his Mini is still parked on his parents drive... he's not good at looking after it to be honest and it's wasting away, which is a shame for it really....

Fitted new wheel boxes to wipers. Tightened up drive shafts. Checked wheel bearings and suspension components

Sorted the indicators on the Mk1, started to change the rear lenses/gaskets too. Just need to deal with a little surface rust under the old gaskets and its ready for the summer! 

 

Took the Moke out on its 1st big drive! Few gear change related issues and it decided to spill a chunk of coolant as we got home! Still not bad considering it hasn't run in a long time.

Washed it , fitted me new £16 e-bay bargain no cd's only usb and sd card ,no tapes or cd's rolling round the car no more.

Day late,yesterday ordered front wheel bearing,fletcher exhaust and kn filter element!

fixed my slow starting issue by cleaning up all the earth points, and property tightening the battery terminals. 

 

Also found a perfect sized boot tidy in the shed, for carrying all the various fluids that I might need.

My blue auto passed it's MOT on Friday with no advisories, whoop!  still loads to do.

 

Its been off the road for 7 years so very much in shake down mode at the moment.

Came to fit a new drive belt while the radiator and hoses are out, but it was the wrong size, doh!

not today but Saturday rebuilt mine back up from swapping my oil pump, oil pressure relief valve so got a shed load of oil pressure now. I just need to readjust my clutch up now for a good road test

just finished conversion to electric fuel pump with regulator and gauge        works excellent
