Fitted stainless no-name backbox, thinking it would be louder...... it aint, its throatier, but it aint louder....

 

I can't understand how an exhaust can be quiet, when its a straight through......?

 

No middle box, just a backbox.....

 

Anyhoo, it has a nice note to it and a bit of a rasp when booting it....

A day in the life of a mini owner!

Took my dad's mini to the mot, did the emissions control on my girlfriend's mini, finally got home to work on mine... and it rained...
Stil fitted my minivation hinges and now tidying my loom for when (if) I ever get it finished.
Might have a cup of tea in a minute. 😁

Dads mini failed the MOT today on wheel bearing, radius arm play and 2 bits of welding on the front so need to hurry to get it done before the L2B run!

Got meself a big spanner to sort out the balljoints on my nephews Mini....

 

38mm spanners aint small....... or cheap LOL

 

Went back to a spares suppliers to change the wipers they supplied wrongly (but are posting the correct type out to me), also changed the wrongly supplied brake pads (partly my fault) but got the correct type now and new antirattle shims and split pins too.... brake discs got changed yesterday, so because of the weather, Iv been parts and tools chasing.... back to it again tomorrow... :)

Fitted new window winder rails, serviced the old girl (plugs, oil and filter change and a bit of nipple greasing) ready for next week - and now none of my spotlights work!! How the hell is that possible - I dont know!  Mini's - fix one thing and something else breaks!!! ho hum, electrical testing later it is then!!!

Probably a daft one, you maybe knocked the connectors when doing your oil filter. Did you take the front grill off? This is where I would check 1st

Got the Mini through the MOT so now back on the road after winter hibernation

Finished the prep work for the nephews Mini...

 

Went through the MoT fail sheet and ticked everything off 1 by 1 as I sorted them and even found a few things that was missed on the MoT test, like needing a new floor on the passenger side (just patched up where I could see that needed it...) its gonna need a new floor sometime in its future. Found some previous welding that had been done to a crack in the floor on the passenger side.... even managed to set fire to the inside too.... but dont tell the nephew... (he's a member on here too .... )
