Slightly jealous.

Word of advice though: get a 5-speed box.

loving sonic, ever sice the picture with the rear full of wheels
sad to see the loss of the audi, but money is being well spent
5 speed sounds a good idea too
It seems you have your inbox full too, tried to pm about the shell

Thought I would share some more pic's of sonic now he is back on the road. (really cant wait to get the new interior for Retro Retrims! Its on order... cant wait!! Its something VERY SPECIAL! :)

The new A panel! still needs a bit of paint!

before I put the seats in, I chucked my good old Trunk money onto the back of the pup!
Posted Image

then lowered him a bit, I think he looks better lower?

Ive gone from the Orange indicator lenses....

to clear ones. At first I didnt like them but now they have grown on me. Im not changing them anyway as their a pig to fit! I got the glass lenses and it takes so long to get the rim of the glass to sit in the ruber (no screws, just the rubber lip to keep it in, id rather fit a windscreen that do these again! - ohh and the Lucas kit I bought at a show (cant remember which company) supply white bulbs with the clear lenses... what good is that?!!! dumb asses. Had to go Halfraus and drop another £13 on new bulbs

Looking small in sainsburys (its so nice being able to take a car shopping again! Ive not had a car since my Audi got stolen back in January!)

New seats are in (they are tiny! I didnt realise they would be so small compared to standard mayfair seats I had in there!) they are going to take some adjusting, at the moment I keep sliding forward on them so might need to mod the subframes to make it more comfortable. Love the look of them though. Ive now put an old custom consoles arm rest in there as well, just as it makes it a little nicer to have some support for my arm

As I no longer have a garage or access to one :( ...the pup has to sit on the street. I try my hardest to park in under the window at my mates (Where I am currently living) and leave the window open. Im a light sleeper and wake up and get up to investigate every noise! Ive got a steering lock, handbrake lock and wheel clamp for it as well as alarm and a few other neat little security tricks but I am still worried about it... I miss my garage :(

Cheers!

Yeah it was about time I got it back on the road. Just got to get the interior down now, then put the new 1380 supercharged engine in (currently on the garage floor) and its done until the new front goes on (new front wont be for some time though)

Hey Ray, yeah I did. The 998 will sell with the shell to be honest unless the person who buys my minis shell really doesnt want it. but without the 998 i will prob only get peanuts for the engine. i thought you had an engine for the clubby? you need to go bigger than 998 if you want to keep up with Del and me! Dels minis coming off the road soon and his freshly built red one is coming on the road with his old (but rebuild) 1380, and ive got the 1380 supercharged engine going in sooni(sh)

Thanks James!

new interior is ordered and paid for, and new bonnet (which is mostly for when the new engine goes in) should arrive soon.

Cant wait :)

got to sort some kind of stereo out... I had a hunt around my old garage and found 4 head units, 2 amps, 2 mids, 4 front speaker pods, 2 tweaters and 2 6x9 speaker pods and 6 6x9's as well as various cables, leads fuses and switchs.... ive got to be able to put some sort of half decent system together out of all that!
