If your doing a removeable front you might aswell go to carbon/ FG. I find it easier to work with to get it to fit right, and it will never rust.

Teapot that pick up is awesome. I have seen it before. I would certainly love a rear opening window! I dont think the head unit and speakers mounted on the roof is for me though, I already struggle for head room at 6ft3!

Burnard, no steel front is for me.

I did give that a lot of thought, and might still do it oneday using a sunroof catch and hindges.
But till then, I got a lot of other things to be getting on with!!! (like A panels and removable fronts!)

I still have the engine to think about!

How have you found it so far in terms of getting bits and parts e.t.c.? Not a huge amount around so imagine it's a bit difficult?

Ive not really needed to get anything pick up specific yet so no problems at all.

I did have a bit of a misson getting the turn button fastners for the load bay cover, as the ones that came with the cover werent the ones I wanted for it. (I got it from minispares) Had to go to woolwhich to get the fastners from a VW specalist in the end.

I do wish they did heritige front panels with the commercial grille already in them, but they dont. So my only option when I replace this later this winter is going to get a non genuine one. There is another option, which is to get the after market commercial grille and blend that into a genuine hritage front panel, but Im not keen on this idea either.

Other than that ive been on the mini scene for over 15 years now, so have existing stock of mini parts or knowlege of where to get them,
