I need to remember where I was going to get the harness bar from. I remember talking to someone on here about it, anyone out there remember who it was? Teapot I know you posted on that thread also, I wonder if you remember?

Pretty much planning the big day.
I got a few things in mind for it and a couple of toys for it that ive bought but other than that, its on hold till after the wedding.

I did pull everything out of the garage and put it back in again on Sunday. The idea was to create a space to work, which I have done now. First I need to clear a different project out of the way first to make back some money (for the wedding)

But before anything I need to get myself or build myself a place to work. (see the wanted section!) I need to get rid of my spare fridge freezer and get myself a work bench.

Fair enough! You should use the pickup as your wedding car! My mate used his one for that a few months back. I'm sure it will be worth the wait when shes back on the road anyway. When is the big day anyway?

Nah I dont think Hanna is interested in cramming into a mini for her wedding day! ....or getting in the back of the pick up before you mention it!
I think she wants a classic camper van. Big day is 20th April!

lots still to be done for it!

The pick up will be done, but it just unfortuantly not a priority at the moment. Id love to get it back on the road. But paying for the wedding, house and honeymoon come first! >_<

Yeah old VW camper splitty. I think she found someone who does wedding with one within her price range. (not like I am going to get in in :( )

Really looking forward to when the mini is back on the road, and doing some VW and mini shows (and some retro shows. gonna mix it up!)

My dream situation would be my own splitty where I could trailer the pick up to a VW show, then use the mini to get about to the shops etc
But I might be up for doing some of the shows with you when the pups back on the road.

So, collecting Sonic from where its being stored at my "friends" house next week and its off the have the A panel welded up.
Then It goes straight for an MOT and will be back on the road!!!

But... it doesnt end there!
after its back on the road I go back to where its currently being stored at my "friends" house to collect my engine.

The engine is sitting on my garage floor and the current Spec of the engine which WILL be in Sonic by the end of the month is as follows:
BMW Supercharger
JONSPEED built
JON 2079
1380 Stage 4
8:2:! compression Ratio
73.5mm JonSpeed Grade A cast pistons
Crankshaft reground +0.10, new bearings fitted with centre main strap
276 camshaft, steel faced slot drive oil pump & duplex timing chin
Stage 4 cyclinder head 37mm inlet, 31mm exhaust, comp single collet valves fitted with 240lbs double valve springs nd .5 roller rockers
Heavy duty vero clutch assembly
Straight cut A+ drop gears 1:1 ratio
Rebuilt gearbox with new bearings, baulk rings, cross pin diff with 3:44:1 Final drive and central oil pickup pipe.

now as the funds for getting Sonic back on the road is coming out of the insurance money I am getting from my Audi being stolen, I wont be buying another car, and Sonic will be run as my only car for a while. In favor of my sanity and hearing, the Straight cut box is up for sale, and I am going to go for the minispares 5 speed box to get the best of both worlds and a little kudos fun for having it 5 speed (not looking for a debate over if I should, or should'nt get the 5 speed box, I want it and am going to get it and am fed up with people telling me not to get it, and then telling me again, and again...)
this is the box I have my eye on:
http://www.minispare...px|Back to shop
just think the ox will make it a nicer all round car giving me the best of both worlds, of the line and comfort on the motorway.

Right the question i do have, with comfort in mind shall i replace the cam for a SW5 or SW6?
Want rid of the 76, it just aint for me.

I also have Speedwell cubs to go in, a harness bar to go across the top of the seats, and i am about to put my order into Retro for a black Alcantara headlining, alcantara back covered bulk head and pillars. alcantara dash lining, monte carlo ribbed style door cards with blue stitching and bottom dash rail. also want a bespoke brilliant blue custom carpet for it. i also have a plan for door pocket covers with built in cup holders, covered in either blue or black vynal

I also have vented and grooved metro turbo brakes to go on, with 8.4" discs. I am looking to run the Alloy replicas of the Cooper S steel wheels to see how they look and feel, if i like i will either keep, or maybe widen them by having them subtly split rimmed. they will of course be matt black.

also everything will be dechromed and painted black, wing mounted mirrors, a round over taking mirror, door handles, headlight rings bumpers front and back, front over riders and side bars, mk1/2 golf smoked rear lenses.

lastly i might consider having the rear windscreen slightly darkened (not hugely, just so its smoked) and a smoked sunsrip on the front.

for a little etra funding i am selling
1) my black 10x6 wellers (never used since refurb, brand new rubber)
2) Nice red shell, would make a good project, fairly solid
3) the straight cut gearbox

Check out for sale section or PM me
