Stereo install is starting to go in, but i should make it a bit water tight first. At the moment ive got major issues with leaking and dont want to install the audio untill thats done, so the normal things are on the list to buy and chance
1) windscreen rubber (as its partial perished) and i am going to add in a black strip rather than the chrome strip to keep in with the blue / black theme
2) Door window runners

I will at some point..... Its not coming off the road, Im just getting fed up with the dampness, having to uncover it, take the clamp off and all that business. i got places to go and people to see, I want something I can jump in and go! :)

I will go back to having the mini as the second car. its eating a little of my mortgage deposit, but at the end of the day it makes sense.

Not really. Money has been a bit tight but the Audi is up for sale and the pick up is coming back on the road soon.
It has a big hole in the floor/bulk head where the pedal box is "meant" to bolt too so that needs to be fixed, it might as well be done at the same time as the Supercharged 1380 engine goes in.

Hopefully will be back on the road end may / early june in time to get a good run in before Brands Hatch to Nurburg.

Im still here everyone :)

After being disappointed that I couldnt take the pick up to Germany and the Nurburgring, I still had a great time with my 4.2 Audi S4 Avant.

It did get me inspired though, I'm now thinking about taking sonic in a slightly different direction. Instead of a luxury mini with cup holders etc I think i am going to roll cage it (custom of course) and make it a miglia inspired on and off track car

Smart! Love the pickup:D.

Miglia pickup. That's a seriously cool plan. Miglia looks? 10' splits and low lows??:D

Hi,

Thanks for the complement!

To be honest it most likely wont look drastically different from how it does now!

Buy yeah. I plan on switching out the 10x6 steel wellers for 10x7 split rims, keep the huge arches already on it but possibly add some black miglia style graphics a roll cage and harnesses and wihen its going on the track I will swap out the cobra cub buckets for bigger race buckets but put the cubs back in when its on the road. I like the extra cabin space the cubs give so wouldnt want the full buckets all the time.

I think I will still put in the black alcantara headlining and door cards I already have.

I do need a new carpet though. Shall I go for a boring black carpet (Again) or mix it up a bit and add some colour and go for a nice electric blue carpet in the cabin?

They do ozzz cool, but can be a bit of a pain. For example obviously anything you put in the back isnt secure. Some tool can come round and nick it at any time they want. The leg room and comfort is poor (even for a min) because of how close the bulk head is behind you, you cant put your seat back.

A van or estate are a lot more practical (as far as practicality gets with a mini)

But they are cool :)
