More filling today, just trying to get it all spot on before painting.

Where I ground down the plug welds where the rear 1/4 meets the B pillar isn't perfect so that's had a little skim, and then the machining marks on the front valance bottom edge have taken some work

I think I'm still putting too much on, and I can't find my new pack of plastic scrapers!

I'll get back in there again tomorrow and do a little more

Can't go wrong with the finger method i showed you (oh err)

Its just right for getting the filler in the tight spots and curved bits.

A few bits done today including door trial fitting (again)

The bottom of the rear 1/4 isn't right and has had to be modified as it doesn't follow the shape of the door.

And then there's this gap

I've seen some really good thread on this which I'm going to follow

Thats a bummer.

So does this repair method involve some welding rods per chance?

Indeed it does Ben, I've just been looking at Neil's repairs and I'm going to do exactly that.

It's a non-genuine rear 1/4, and door skin.

I'll trial fit the other side soon which is still the original door skin so we'll see what that side is like.

If it's done before i see you, i'd like to have a look at it.

I have considered that approach if i need it but have one or two questions about it.

On another note, i have your dosh put aside.

Ben

Next week my friend!

My other half has a dental appointment here on the 15th so after that. She was gonna cancel it so we could come sooner but they couldn't give her another appointment until next month and she needs it before then.

They're seam welded to the scuttle.

The next rebuild will probably be an absolute nightmare, but hopefully that wont be for a while
