The gaps look spot on Carlos ;)
Thanks mate, when I fitted the front end I used a different bonnet to make sure all the gaps were correct. I need to fit it properly when I find the hinges

Cheers mate, I'm glad it was the bonnet and not the car that was wrong.
I bought the fibreglass bonnet from a member on here, I wonder if they knew it was a VERY poor fit?

That engine enamel really does give a nice finish!
Did you just weld ordinary bolts to the pedal box? I might have to do this with mine.
Good progress though! Even i got out to the garage this morning and did a little bit!

I considered cutting the heads off, but didn't bother in the end.
My issue now, is that I have no idea how the pedal box mounts at the dash rail end.
I've got the right bolts that go into the bulkhead, and I've cleaned the threads but I'm a bit snookered.
The PDF haynes manual seems to skip chapter 6

Easy peasey mate.
You should have a thick metal plate with threaded holes that site inside the dash rail. That goes in and then the steering column bolts to the thick plate sandwiching the pedal box between.
If needs be, ill find mine and show you

So for now, I can just bolt the front end in?
Is it sort of wedge shaped?

Ah nice one, I need to find 57 and 58.
So the pedal box sits under the dash rail, it can sit there for now until I find those bits. They're in a box........

You must have about 10 of them so it shouldn't be too hard to find one.
have a look in the Wok
