It's been a while mate. I'm moving in a couple of weeks so the mini is having to take a back seat

Time for an update, it's been 3 months and it's starting to get to me, once it's painted and I start bolting parts on I'll have more space.
Articulated hinges are certainly challenging to fit.
It's taken all day to get to this stage. The instructions aren't great either.
I need a garden shed as I haven't got as much storage as I did in the last place.
A few little odds and ends to be done over the next few days before work probably.

Cheers Neil, I'll have to do some measuring and check the mounts on the bonnet.

The wider gap across the back is fine Carlos but as the front overhangs slightly, i would move the bonnet back slightly on the hinges. That will bring the front edge back in line with the wings and close the back up more too.
What are the sides like?

The problem is, there isn't an overhang in the middle.
The gaps down the sides are slightly uneven, but I reckon a tiny tweek of the mounts on the bonnet will sort that.

What is te height of the bonnet like in relation to the wing? particularly towards the front.
It looks low in the picture. If that's the case, then there is one thing you can do that will solve both issues

It maybe a bit low. What are your thoughts?

You should be able to use the palm of your hand to gently persuade the front corners of the bonnet in slightly to match the wings.
Normally in doing that, you raise the sides of the bonnet slightly too high but in your case with it sitting low, I think it would work well.
Just remember slowly slowly catchy monkey.Move it only very slightly and then check and then repeat until it fits better. also, keep a close eye on the side edges of the bonnet where it folds at 90 degrees as these can and will crease easily if you bend the corners in too much.
I'm not saying it will work but it should do and it's easy so worth a go first.

Cheers mate, seems like a 2 person job.
I may cut a couple of slots in the front lip.
I think I have a plan, I need to trim the o/s mount as it's hitting on a rivet and wont let the bonnet go any further back, I need to tweak the corners to neaten them up.
I then need to get the bonnet pin, locking mechanism and seal and get it all in place, and then have a bit of a fettling session.
In other news, the o/s door doesn't need anything added to the window frame, I just need to slot the bolt holes for the hinges. I didn't fit the doors when I put the A-panels on which was a BIG mistake
