right had these turn up so i now have a set of frotn and rear Gaz coilovers spare



also had these turn up



i also drilled a rather big hole in my car today was nervous about doing it



but its ok messure twice drill once


and this is how my car looks atm could do with a good clean and te cut

cheers, ive finnaily managed to source a new block and get it dismantled so im going to take all the bits to pual inch this week and pull my finger outto get it all sorted

well dropped both my blocks off with pual inch, as well as my 7 port head and my outher big bore cylinder head, so fingers crossed 2 weeks time ill have my engine back ready to go as well as my repaired 5 port head and my spanking new 7 port head ready to go.


i still need to buy a dizzy suited to my 649 cam though :/

Have you thought about mappable ignition for it? I'm not sure how much a custom dizzy is, but megajolt can be put together for around £200 if you do stuff yourself.


I love it in my car. Car looks good though, hope you don't have any problems this time around.

yeah me to, ive given the the old damaged block with everything still in it, so hes gonna transfer pistons and crank and evtythign over so all i need to do is bolt it to my gear box and what not.


i thought alot about doing a mapable ignition

but i have no idea were to start with it

and then later in the year

ill be in the carabine

and the spain and to top it all of burgen for the end of the year.

landed on my feet, gonna get some great runs ashore trapping


so im pushing to finish the mini of this year, and maybe next year she might have to be sold :/ as i just wont be using her at all

right im of to bulgaria today



but when im back on the 15th ive got anouther 2 weeks holiday so im gonna weld passenger foot well up repair the drivers front roof section and do a little weled abouve both vent holes, and then fingers crossed all ym welding will be done.

and then i can look at ordering some new paint
cleaning up my buckets seats and harness
cleaning the door cards and back seat as well as the carpet
and ill also if i get time look at cleaning up my spare subframes and asembiling them ready to swap for the nasty looking ones on my car.

my engine block is with pual inch being fixed so as soon as thats ready i can bolt teh gear box back on and get the clutch cover and clutch back on and then start thing about dropping the bigger engine back into the car with my 7 port head.

so fingers crossed im gonna have a quite busy and productive holiday when im back from bulgaria

few things i need to get like a aldon dizzy to match my 649 cam, ive decided aginst goign to the megajolt route as its goign to work out expensive, plus im not goignt o be the one whos trying to get it runnign this time, my mini friendly rolling road guy is goign to have the ball acke of doing it.

heres what little progress ive been able to make, im still waiting for my engine to come back from the machine shop, which seems like its taking forever, ive got a few more bits and pieces im going to paint like the breather and radiator bracket, im also gonna try and make up a new dash, but with the weatehr being horrible and my outher shell in my garage its making it hard to work on my clubby :/

thought id start trying to weld my spare front subframe up to add strength and my welders gone pop, not what i need right now

this is how my engine build is looking, ive got most things painted



but im still missing my engine block argh!!!!



started welding up my spare subframe, although my mig welder has gone tits, so im usiing my metal arc welder which is older than time its self, and is probbly the hardest thing to weld with lol

and this is my mini at the momment ready to go surf hunting tomorrow, should slow me down nicely lol

passenger foot well has fallen out. stupid mini !!!!

luckly i know a mate with a spare so ill chop the rest of it out and weld a new one in tomorrow

right i managed to get my floor pan out, but my sill was rotten and hangin of by liek 4 spot welds so ive ripped that bugger of and found a passenger sill, sept its already painted blue?

god knows were thats come from

so floor pan in
flinch was rotten so had to repair that
sill rotten so thats been replaced, and i still need a little patch on the toe board

and then ill paint it all tomorrow, and get it all waxoiled underneatehr the car

will upload pics after im showered as im a mess
