Nope its just a 3 legged hone tool with some stones on that you use in an battery drill on a slow speed (or you’ll find bits of it flying across your workspace) to just take the glaze off the bores not to re-bore them.
It’s also not a good idea to re-bore a block and then find pistons to fit, as a +20 (or whatever) piston might not be exact. So you could end up with a loser fit between the piston and bore leading to all sorts of problems.

Exactly. Google it and buy one
If you are going for a rebore then buy the pistons first. All the pistons will be DIFFERENT SIZES. im talking in thou. Whenever we rebore an engine we buy the pistons and then send them off with the block to be rebored and the engineer who does them for us numberes the pistons to the different bores to take into account the different sizes of pistons.
Im talking a proper engineer here though who knows what hes doing.

Yeah, I quite like this thread, good source of info and still makes me want to build a nice small bore.

Definatly small bore for the win
On a side note its much better to have a thread with lots of information as a reference to people than without which doesnt help anyone or give anyone else ideas.
