been on the road with Muk a few times baring in mind, I never driven a Mini before,.....lovin it!! this is propper driving

I had to replace the clutch hose from the cylinder to the slave-cilinder the old one looked Ok but was perished near the union and leaked a little when pumping the clutch, had to adjust the front brakes after bedding in,..no doubt a few more things coming up, I might even replace the front rubber suspension cones (was hoping the old ones would do, but no a bit to far gone) when I get my 12" wheels back from the painters with a set of these tyres;

Yokohama, Mspares Forum Tyre deal,....came in today.

and so the story goes on,..... front nearside bearing is gone.......

Bearing replaced, no mere klonking and grinding at nearside front, while at it changed the trumpet knockles to the plastic cups where shot and rubber was worn (not picked up by MOT)

Wheels ready this week, will put a chrome trim back to front, never finished ......... but then it is a mini after all

after a few weeks fighting with fuel and distributor, I think I cracked it today, cut a long story short he says, engine lost power and was suddenly running very rough. Was told to check points, so I did, positioned on the cam lobe and gave it .33mm, thought that was it,.....no way, run for 500 yards, then same could not use 4th gear, so back to the points, all was spot on, so looked ath the fuel supply, for some reason air bubbles came plentiful in the filter,.....porous hose from tank to solid fuel-pipe,. changed! next stop flush the pipes and went back to start engine, went better but still not smooth, ADE needle change done that but no. Fault had to be distributor. so back again. I found an old cap in the corner somewhere, but was in a better nick then the current one, connected and yep better already, then checked the rotor arm again,... copper contact was loose on bakelite, superglue that for testing, and went better again but still to rough and misfiring, adjusted all the valves again, and read a few treads on here,. so decided to get a new cap, condenser, plugs and rotor arm.
These where delivered today all goodies changed old for new, and all is good again. took it for a 10 mile run and he was happy as Larry again,. me too by the way....., shows you a bit reading and a bit tweaking, lesson learned again, I certainly know what to look for next time. All I need to do now is to get the emission tested and run the engine clean again.
Next week he needs a good coat of WAXOIL too.

Looks very nice, and I really love that colour.
What panels did you use for the front end? (wings etc.) Heritage or something else?
