Got this new thingy called a vacuum gauge for MUK, when installed using a T piece on the vacuum hose from Dizzy to carb, reading starts very low (5), but when driving it does what it needs to do, I am not sure whether I should put another fitting between the carb/inlet manifold with a metal niple, and put the tube from the gauge direct on there. Will I get a better reading one hopes? Does anyone have a better idea.

I think the vac hose needs to go on the inlet manifold, after the carb??

I think you are right there, just some guys on here have used a t-piece, not sure whether their readings are correct. there could of course be a vacuum leak, but then all my readings would be low.....

As mentioned yesterday, I installed this item between the carb and inlet manifold, where the vacuum is, did not get a correct reading at the advanced vacuum take off on the carb, as that is only for the dizzy hose.

I am happy that nout is wrong with the engine and the gauge reads 21-22 on idle,..how it should be.
now having to get used to keeping an eye on the gauge while driving and try and safe some petrol.......handy tool to have for sure.

gave the car a good waxing today, taking him out to the STAR grass racing tomorrow, he can see his brithers in the field chasing each other.
