You see, this is why I love V8's so much, this is my pops revving the tits off my Maserati about an hour after I bought it...

And you can't beat the noise of this one from about 18 sec onwards, and the burble of that glorious engine at 44 sec...

It's still more efficient to have a small engine with a low pressure turbo, it's the way most new cars are going. Which I quite like :sneaky:

V8 with Turbo! :)
... Or V8 with big blower! ;D

Not my quote...I'm a big V8 fan..own a few.

yeah I dont know what happened there.

I would love a V8 mini pick up.
Front engined, rear wheel drive V8 pick up with a blower!... SLAMMED! :) lol
Plenty of contradiction! Slamming it, front engined with rear wheel drive in a pick up. Not the easiest thing to do!

American cars are gay.

;D well i have no idea how you came to this conclusion obviously you havent had a go at rodding, because you wouldnt be saying that but if going to a show with a bunch of people who all like the same things and all the cars are loud, beautifully built or customed, drag cars, racers or even slammed cruisers all these prolong the life of what is known as hot rods and if all these lovely cars are "gay" then IM GAY BECUASE i wouldnt want my life no other way because liike minis to you and me bring us great joy of being able to meet new people and join in with some many different communities and i can garuntee most of the hot rodders would call minis "gay" because there too small and you cant fit a massive V8 Power plant with ease in the front of a mini and they're not giant gas guzzling road hogs but too me the sound off a v8 is heart beat to me, its my past my present and my future my life is hot rods yanks and all classics over the world!!! so i think "gay" is a massive statement and it just aint true but everyone is allowed an opinion it just doesn't mean its fact. but im sure we both have completely different views of the cars but i like the fact im different to others i dont like to be one who follows a trend i like things my way and do it to please me not a crowd!!

ohhh moggy minor v8 sounds epic! you have just sent my mind going everywhere on possible projects, tuned and turboed hayabusa trike, again tuned and turboed v8 mgb gt sleeper, i can even get a moggy minor, duno how much rust its got though but too many possibilities now lol ;D and obviously i would only get a british, german or italian v8, americans cant build cars or engines with any decent power for their size lol :) im being very optomistic, i need to get my next small project done and hopefully sell aload before i can do anything lol

also ricks mini is modfied but personal i don't like flip front mini's or custom turbo jobbies i like my 998 (coughh 1046cc) but its peoples views

the yanks made some very nice cars :)

Rover V8's are an American design ;D . Germans are too reliable so they are boring, Italian are too unreliable, :) and American Big Blocks make a great sound. Just thought I'd say my opinion here :- ^_^

full Space frame chassie with the shell mounted on top running rovers v8 on a stripped out landy gear box :withstupid:

You mean the LT77 or R380 cogboxes. I hope they won't have the transfer boxes on :sneaky:

My Landy was going to have an RV8 in but had to come back out for 17yr old insurance reasons but the bulkhead is all chopped out ready for it to slot back in :ermm:

My brother's has had one for a few years now but the first one let 4 rods go on the motorway at night  so limped back home on 4 cylinders to have another put back in as quickly as possible.

All in all, V8's maybe are dying slowly, just they aren't going to disapear over night because of America and good old English spirit, which cannot be crushed easily :) . Nothing can beat the sound of a blown big block that makes your legs feel like jelly and your trousers change colour :ermm:
