what make are those wheels in the picture where the nose is sticking out of the front of the garage?

yeah like mmj said they are the ERA alloys drop me a pm if you are interested in buying them!

Can I just ask how you went about getting the account with Minispares?

the is a fairly new lad that has served me the last few times, i just stated chatting to him about minis. last time i was there he just said he would try and sort out a discount.

just try asking for a discount you got nothing to lose.

What are the arches on the first blue one...

they are the thin miglia arches, What i have ordered :ermm:

cheers miniallsort

just though id put up some up to date pictures, i have now changed my mind again and think i am going to get the car shot blasted.

in the pictures of the baulkhead you can see i have removed all the brakets and clips and welded up any un used holes, i want the engine bay to look as clean as posible.

this also shows the over sill that was fitted they are like a kinder egg, you never know what you will get inside. i got a six inch rust hole :ermm:

the parts show are copper head gasket and kad handbrake quadrants (very pleased with these)

cheers for all the comments they are much appreciated.

i have had a bit of time doing nothing on the car as i have been busy doing other stuff but i am going to try and get a load more stuff done this weekend. i have been out tonight and have pressure washed the under side to see what its like and also welded up a few more unuse holes in the engine bay! it should look well smooth!

i want to try and get the front of the car back to bare metal and the rust trated and primed, the subfame will be off again and i will get to work.

i have been in contact with MLmotorsport and the batch of wheels is now under way and should be ready within the next couple of weeks so fingers crossed i should have the wheels soon.

i have also spoke to curley and have been told that i will have my carbon parts tommorow, although i was told this last week too! oh well i am sure it will be worth the wait.

How did you cut the shock mounts out like that?

What are you doing with the shock mounts (are you buying a repair panel or fabricating)?

Ace project by the way!

Keep it up !

i cut the out using a slitting disc (really thin disc) on an angle grinder.

i am fabricating my own metal to go in the holw i have started welding that side i will get some picture up in a min for you to see.

cheers glad you like the project.

forgot i also had to use a spot weld drill to drill out the old welds holding it all together

this is a picture of my rear lights, one of the units on the car had been replaced recently so i got another new one from mini spares to match.

shown here is the new standard one and also one that i have modified with tinted rear lights, i made these myself with tint spray onto a set of clear lights, i am also using prism led rear brake lights and chrome effect indicators bulbs( not in picture ) this means taht there is no colour in each of the units. i will also be relocating my fog lamp to where the drives side reverse light is.
