Wish i could justify buying those to the mother. Shes controlling my funds atm so kinda hard to ask for £700 for wheels when i already hav 13*7 minilites. I'm loving the project tho mowog, wish i had the experience and guts to build something from the ground up. Still 17 though so ive got time to learn. That looks the mutts nuts. Wish I could justify buying those wheels to the missus.
Keep it up
Sam

justify? dont worry about that just order them and by the time they are delivered you will have saved enough!
samwell im only twenty and when i was your age i wouldnt have done anything like this, just keep reading up on stuff and working on your car, and you will get the confidence to have a go.
i have cleaned all my drivers side hub and drive shaft components today in the parts washer and im just going out to the garage to clean the rust off them ready for paint.

In regards to your carbon fiber roof panel, how do you go about the install? Will the car lose any rigidity (is that a word?)?
IMHO, any guy that has done the amount of fab work that you have would not have a problem painting his own car. The hard part is over. Spray that jewel yourself.
Good luck on the rest of the build. I look forward to reading about it.
Last but not least, how about Hugger Orange for the color?

MOWOG, this is an outstanding build thread and an outstanding build!

the roof is going to be bonded to the car, it does lose rigidity but that should be put back with the extensive cag that i am going to be fitting.
to actually fit the roof i will be cutting a 3 inch lip from the gutter and then bonding the skin onto this. its not quite as straght forward, but thats the basics.
i think dog would kill me if i painted it orange, although that is an awsome colour and car!
its got to be black i think, it as always the origional plan.
i did toy with the idea of doing the paint myself, but i just want the paintwork to be as good as possible.
big adam just wait theres gonna be a hell of a lot more than that to come!
