Decent scrub down with degreaser will get that gear selector looking good again. Keep up the good work

Hey, Your project looks cool mate. I have a mini 30 project too. Mine is a Cherry Red one though. I also have a webpage if you were interested in looking.. www.mini30.info I like what you have done so far. Your sub frames look cool. I was considering upgrading to minitastic springs but i'm still undecided. I am changing my engine though. I managed to get an 1100 engine for £45, which I thought was a bargain. I know it's not the most powerful engine you can get but I thought it would be alright.. I have read some bad reviews on the 1100 though... I thought if it didn't work out I could just put the other one back in and sell the 1100.. I'm sure it's worth more than what I paid for it..

Anyway, good luck with your project. Cheers Joe

Thanks for the positive comments, your website looks really good.
I'm sure that if you threw a lick of paint on the engine you cold sell it for at least £100

You're probably right.. I am sure I got a bargain anyway even if I end up breaking it for bits etc. Can I ask, is there a reason why you didn't use the 1100 engine you got with your mini? Just curious.
I've been working on my mini all day and finally got round to having a look at welding the sills.. Wow... Someone in the past has put over-sills on it and there is absolutely NOTHING left of the originals.. Good job I had already got new, original sills to put back on.. It's scary to think that the car had an MOT when I bought it.. I'm going to update the website later with pictures etc.
Anyway, cheers

Joe
