got it in one mini dude, although the mini isn't on the road its suprising how dirty it gets, and its covered! just trying to keep the paint in tip top condition. i work for ford (the car company) as a mech. so i'm not bothered getting my hands dirty and getting stuck in. the fact i have done all the work on this car (bar the spray job) still astounds me! roll on summer 07

just a wee update, it seem i don't have many pictures with thwe wheels on, i know that alot of people favor these wheels and that their nothing new but who can say they also have a048's on them?






also trial fitted some seats, and found they were way too big! luckly i borrowed them off a mate!

Can I ask wherte about did you get your head lights from? And did you have any roblems fitting them?

head lights were of ebay, as with most things bought for it including the car! just get you the details of the seller now

no problems fitting them, i have just remove the metal cup that sheilds the bulb, just to get an idea of what it would look like without them.

If you dont mind me asking, how much was the paint job because it looks an awesome job! Thinking of getting tahiti blue myself and just want a rough idea how much it was.

it cost 1000quid. got it sprayed in 2pack and asked them to put a few extra layers of laquer on. for what they did (remove all the celly primer, smooth out a few bumps, and spray it) it was a decent price.


oh and i have done abit of work to the paint to get it as shiny as it is. mainly by flatting, g3 and then polishing it.

finally got me an engine









thats right, it a slightly modified metro turbo engine! just came today from someone on this forum. can't fit it just yet though, need to whip out the air saw and hack away at the bulkhead.

love it the progress is good and the finnish looks top notch and the front pic showing the wheels and tyre tread looks spot on and you have what must be the ultimate A series (Turbo)

im guessing its a pretty much a 1293 lump from your avatar? with intercooler, oil cooler and a twin core radiator to keep temps down? any guesses on the power it makes? and the ultimate accesory the dump valve so will look and sound awesome bombing down the road

stop it! you make me want to get a loan! yep 1293 turbo, have yet to buy a 2core rad (was supplied with a standard one) ain't got a clue on what it make as the guy before me didn't get it rolling roaded (only seen 500miles!) dunno, what power do do you reckon she'll make? might just run 8psi for now, maybe without intercooler for a while, get things bedded in.......guessing at 110-120? will soon see in about 6 months or so, in time for summer
