After trying to carry a whole 1275 in peices in my boot, I had to abandon the gearbox as car was too low, when I got home I thought I'd raise the rear ride height, and sort out the rear set up, ride height easily changed,

Now, even with the minisport adjustable brackets set to full negative camber and toe out max, the wheels are only just vertical and still tow in loads? Any ideas as to why???

When softening the dampers I also noticed that my gear box steady has snapped :( more moneys!

Gearbox steady nearly off, anyone else found that the bolt through the front subby is a right pain to remove?

the 1275 i purchased was a runner, but it had seized since agreeing to buy it! However I got it much cheaper so fair enough, at least I will know the condition of the internals after a full rebuild.

Here is the engine, it did come with a head, just not pictured.

after a full strip down i have discovered the sizing to be because of this..........

I have also purchased an lcb, alloy inlet manifold, dizzy, and roller tip rockers.

with regards to the gearbox I am still very unsure what to do, I have no experience with gearboxes and really don't want to build and fit an engine to then find it needs to be stripped as the box is shot?

I love this estate! Liking the wheels with the proper clubman hubcaps on. Finishes them off a treat. I would give the roof rack you have on it in an old pic a lick of old english while paint and put it back on. Suited it so well. Keep at it!

Thanks for the great comments guys :)

The roof rack I used to leave on all the time, but I only put it on when I need it, the whole car looks lower without it.

The colour is pageant blue.
