got the rest of the parts for the engine build the other day!!

done a fair bit today,

but first, the shinanegens at work!

the conventional loading of a rusty vut solid mk2 jag onto a builders van... we didnt approve but did it anyways..



a rusty jag... been in the warehouse long time. hunk of rust soon to be sold



and finally, fitted a new exhaust system on to a mechanics car whilst he was doing his clutch. probably quite expensive, its from a chevron F5000



hahahahaha

now mini stuff!






piston no. 3 in new cam in, oil pump in, timing gear in ( after ALOT of tinkering, bloody woodruff key was fouling:P )

and weber linkage, its bootiful!!





now need a thicker primary gear thrust washer, as i got 19 thou movement!!! and some sockets to do up the gearbox and big ends and mains need to finish this in september so work boots are officially on!

was that mini u raced at silverstone 26th ish as i was in there 2 in the swinging 60s in a mini.are you racing at castle coombe on the 22nd in cscc mag 7s,in there in my mini

doubt it at siverstone, we never raced!! our race was cancelled as a driver rolled it on the 2nd lap, and it never went into the restart..

and yes, we will be at castle combe then, the team name is team leos, have a bit arctic, and about 6 caterhams XP come have a look 8) im the short, blonde one XD

get a pic up of your mini!! im sure il recognise it its not the fluorescent one is it?

Just seen this thread. Love the car, the work being done, and the garage, but the best bit is your nan had a GT!!

Locked the gearbox out to torque it up, gear snapped. Damn! Oh well new one coming tomorrow, get it all built up with flywheel on etc!

I always lock the box in first and fourth..I had heard that it was possible to snap off a tooth from either second or third gears but never thought it was possible really.....Untill now!!
