Having had previous experience with easi bleeds etc in the early 90's with a lack of front brakes that i could not get my head around and numerous other engineers all scratching their heads pumping the brakes at the same time as using the Easi bleed cured the problem. Also another member of the forum who has a serious amount of experience with Mini's tried the same trick with his Mini and hey presto his brake problem was sorted.

I was not bringing your experience into any sort of question just stating a fact i learnt through trial and error. It worked what can i say.

Well today I walked to the shops..........

Caused quite a scene ..........

Eezibleed was nowhere to be seen..... So I had a thought

What if I cut the schrader valve off an old inner tube - and then drill a hole in a plastic top with the thread matching

the master cylinder filling hole............. Success..... Just pump the naughty fluid through with a bicycle pump...

Some classic sideways thinking there, liking that idea but a possible downer here is whether the brake fluid will melt either the inner tube section or the plastic. Worth checking to make sure all is well before carrying out the job.
