Okay cheers jordie

Andy just twigged its the two each side of the block. What's the two at front of engine where it joins to transmission?
And what about the three in the head?
Do you just drill them then lever out?

Damn just left the house.
Its Probably not oil plugs but look similar three in a line on underside of head above the valve chambers if that makes sense

Need to stop looking at mini stuff I now want a filter king, electric fuel pump with kill switch.
Ultralight flywheel, new radiator as well as looking into improving ignition and electrics all on top of standard replacements. Just looked at how easy it is to install a remote fire system tempting :D
I'm skint to begin with but it will be worth it in the end.

Just a quick query last year I did work to head when changing head gasket and cleaned oil breather out with paraffin this time it's chocker block with mayonnaise looks crap so might get a shiny new one any idea on what would of caused this?

Any help cant get my head around some parts.

for a 1993 1275cc mini it is a verto clutch with engaged starter? So if i was after a nice shiny lightweight flywheel is this the correct one http://minispares.co...pid=37371=
Replacing the clutch pad apologies if thats not what it is called cant seem to find it just whole clutch kits??

Will this http://minispares.co...pid=37139= and a head gasket set cover everything i need for the rebuild?

also got confused last time i got the bk450 head gasket but is the copper af460 performance gasket better??

Cheers just trying to balance my paycheck out.

when I wanted parts for the engine and needed to be 100% sure they were the right ones, I took my bits up to minisport in Burnley and they sourced the correct parts for me and were extremely helpful to boot. I took a piston and the engine number up with me to source the correct rings

hmm, well, best thing to prob do is keep your engine number handy for reference as they can tell pretty much anything from it regards to parts etc

Thats great cheers would of never thought about using it.

think i might find a machine shop and get everything checked over, get them to check what rings and bearings i need maybe even to run the milling machine over and replace the cam bearings.

when I built mine, I had the block and head lightly skimmed to refresh the surfaces, if the cam bearings look okay, dont bother changing them, its a waste of money. its worth getting a machine shop to check bore ovality and crank journal shape to see if its okay
