Owned these back in the day

Seriously though, it's great to see this new interest in Metros, I used to love mine back in the 80s when all my mates were into their Novas and Fiestas.

What little information there is on the Minki and minki-2 make for interesting reading. They would have been nicer than the Rover 100 anyway!

K-Series Metro have at tiny selection of wheels being 95.25PCD. Triumph TR7 and TR8 are also 95.25... about the only other car though.

Marina, Ital, TR7, MGF, Dolomite, Spitfire, Maestro, Montego etc all fit 4x95.25 PCD aswell :)

But I always thought A-Series Metro's had a 4x101.6 Mini PCD? as the 4 pot conversion is used on mini's? and you often see them running 12" mini wheels too? :)

I believe it is 4x4" ... or 4x101.6 not the 4x100 mentioned above.

I still remember John from Lincoln mini centre advising me to change my 850 for a metro in 1990. I did and never thought the same about him again.
Test drove a gti in about 97/98 and thought it was shocking.
YET seeing the beige one just got my juices flowing.
And as for those wheels they look like std steels that have been banded.
