Ahem Ahem...

W61 LJF
Date of Liability 01 12 2012
Date of First Registration 07 03 2000
Year of Manufacture 2000
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1275cc
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type PETROL
Export Marker N
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
Vehicle Colour MULTI-COLOUR
Vehicle Type Approval Not Available

It's not been exported and it's just had a fresh tax disc put on it... Hammond's probably ranting his way back and forth to the TG studio in it.

Fair play though, started out quite funny, got really rubbish when they blew the house up then the straight 6 cricket was quite ingenious! Definately not the best episode.

If only front ends came off that easily!

I really think it’s about time they came up with something new though. I found it mildly amusing, but it really was same old, same old, and way past its sell by date. And to add insult to injury, some of us had the pleasure of paying for it through our TV licence fee too :(

However, it was good to see they included the Mini in the best of British, even if it was built under German command

I think you need to clear your eyes as well as your throat. If you look carefully you'll see it is actually SORN and not taxed.

Can't see why people got upset about pulling the front off a 2000 Rover Cooper it was probably about to fall off anyway.

I think one of the reasons that this episode wasn't as good as previous old car specials is that everything went to plan. Usually one of them (Jeremy) buys something that starts off broken and there will always be a sense of achievement when they get to the end (both the cars and the guys). There was very little in the way 'journey time' on the program. It jumped from mucking about here to mucking about there, so it was constantly stupidity.
Watch one of the older ones on Dave and compare the amount of time you see them in/fixing their cars.

Can't belive this is still going so well. A good few have moaned like F about the poor old mini getting wrecked.

It is a tv program, people watch it and either do or don't like it.

Was the program a sucess ?? I would say judging by the ammount of people On Here Alone talking about it thats a yes.

good point just made by dave1293gt, everyone still watched top gear even though it eas obvious the mini or any oither car wasnt going to make it through the episode in pristine condition..besides it was kinda fixed anyway....

im surprised nobody has picked up on the fact that they also crashed and mucked around with the jag and roller too....so it wasnt just the mini

i liked the episode anyway just happy to see the little mini back in the limelight :D !

Exactly!

how many will think about the rolls or jag from the program? not many.

how many will smile the next time they see a real British mini next time they see one pootleing along? quite a few.

the top gear team might have ruined yet another car, but how many people on here have scrapped a car? how many have had accidents? How many have ''moddified'' them? Most of US.

I'm surprised they were stupid enough to vent the air con gasses on James rolls. Not only is it illegal to do so, harmful to the environment, but also carries a hefty fine.

Geez TMF is becoming a narky arsicle......I havent seen many moan about the mini being trashed the general posts have been about how pizzle poor the program was.

Your moaning for nothing....I dont care if they abuse'd the cars either way it was a good advert for mini's, most HAVE moaned that the show was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT and it WAS!!

 Not in India. With the way some of the Indians were driving, that was the least of their problems.
