So I got some fresh seats:

No idea where they are from, (suspicions are on SPi or maybe metro) but they are very comfy :proud:
and bolster me much better when cornering slightly faster than them government people would like me too :shifty:

And you know what the best thing about them is?

I got them for free!!! :D

that's all for now though :shades:
next thing is MITP and then I'm sure I will spend all my money on various parts I won't need >_<

Now, time for sleep sleeps :dozing:

Oh they are so so much better than my old jiggly seats!

yeah I tended to end up out of the window or in the passengers lap if I drove vigorously >_<

AWESOME! Can't wait for it! :proud:

So I had a bit of time,

And I thought that I would finally get the other speakers in my car. :D
so I took the old speakers off the rear parcel shelf,
then, as I don't have the right tools to cut perfect holes, I used a hand drill and then side cutters to get the hole vaguely round... >_<

then screwed my new 4'' speakers into it, they fitted relatively well :proud:
Posted Image

and then I got it in the car, and they both fitted through the holes in the roof of the boot:
Posted Image

still need to wire them in properly,

but they are in...

that's all for now folks,

Probably will update after MITP with some photos of what all my money will go on >_<

to be honest, I haven't really noticed any difference with them in, but I agree that they make the back look much tidier :proud:

Now,

MIITP ended up eating all my money,

but look at my spoils!!! :D
Posted Image

The mambas aren't new, but they are genuinely and only 2 of them really need a clean up and apart from that they'll be nice... although I am not entirely sure if I'll be able to give them a bit of a refurb before I fold and end up putting them on the car already! ;D
Posted Image

The MkII rear lights I was never planning on getting, but kind of fell for them when I saw them on other peoples cars... :shy:
but they both come with all the gaskets they need so I'm quite pleased with them...
Posted Image

I also got a MkII morris boot badge, I am sure you can see where I am going with this...
I will repaint it before it goes on the car though as it is a tad faded, but apparently it is an original... :shifty:
Posted Image

As the first piccy showed, I also got 2 rubber cones which seem (to me) to be in good condition and are proper Dunlop ones and I am hoping that they are going to be much better than my ones are at the moment.. >_<
Posted Image

And the tyres in my opinion are the steal of the day, I got a full set (2 of which are slightly part worn and one is brand new but second hand, the last is brand new) for a total of £115! :D
Posted Image

then I got some dull things like wheel nuts and valves for my wheels and that rounds off my spoils!

Next is what I have managed to get done since MITP ;D

So now it's onto what I have gotten done since MITP,

which admittedly isn't much, but I got home and wanted to see how the MkII lights looked on the car, so I switched them over, but didn't want to wire them up that night,
I liked what I saw... :proud:

so, the back of my car went from this:
Posted Image

to this:
Posted Image

Me likey bery much! :shades:

and the wiring also had to change as they have one less light and no loom on the light unit..

so it went from this:
Posted Image

to this:
Posted Image

wasn't too difficult as the wires were all the same colour so it was just a case of connecting the right ones... ;D

then when I tested them, one of the indicators wasn't working right, it would come on, but then it would just stay on until the stalk was returned to the middle...

I couldn't see anything wrong with it, as they both came with all the bulbs needed... however, when I had a closer look at the bulbs, It turned out that the one that wasn't working,
was a lot smaller than the one that was working fine, so the bulbs looked like this:
Posted Image

and then when I changed the bulb, it looked like this:
Posted Image

And now it all works fine! :proud:

and that's kind of it for now >_<

Yeah I quite like them although I do now need to wire in some form of reversing light, which shouldn't be too hard :gimme:

Haha, I will, don't worry, going to be working on the refurbishment over the next week and whatever else it takes to get them finished,
but then I must save up money to get the tyres fitted >_<

I will do, planning on trying to fit the 'new' cones tomorrow morning :shifty:

ah right, I will keep an eye on your progress, I am sure it will go fine, but take your time and make sure the gaps are all right! ;D

I decided to try and get my wheels sorted,

so I spent about 2 and a half hours,
and 1 and a half sheets of my coarsest wet-and-dry paper,
to achieve the change from this:
Posted Image

to this:
Posted Image

It turned out that under the layer of black paint, there was a layer of silver paint and then,
there was the primer beneath that.

gave myself a damn blister on my thumb from rubbing the dish >_<

but I am pleased with the outcome so far

I'll probably update again when they are both finished completely,
this could take some time... :shifty:
