Looking good, 10" wheels and 7.5" brakes are the way to go! I also changed my rear light to MK2 items.... way better!

If you suspect water is coming through from inside the door then check to make sure the drain holes (three of them) are clear.

thanks for the tip :proud:
checked them this weekend, all clear, so I suspect the missing check strap seal >_<

I thought it would be a good idea to do a 'little' update...

First of all,
The exhaust fitting:
I happened to get the pleasure of using a 2 post lift for this :D

but being silly old me,
I forgot to put slits in the down-pipe before fitting it to the y-peice, so as soon as I took it out for a test drive,
this happened:

so I put some slits in it and fixed it right up

Since then I have had some intermittent running issues with the car randomly losing power throughout the rev range.

I changed the distributor cap and rotor arm and that certainly improved the situation but didn't solve it..
but then my exhaust decided to separate again, so whilst i had it on stands to fix that, I though I'd see if the ponts were actually opening or not, turns out they weren't so i adjusted them very roughly so that they just closed in the middle of the flat part between the lobes... and guess what?

SOLVED IT! :D

I also decided to change my rocker cover gasket at the same time as the old one was a tad ruined...
before:

after:

finally managed to solve something by myself, I'll still be replacing them when I can but it is running very well now :gimme:

And finally,
this! :shifty:

(obviously except the gauges)

Yeah I think it was too :-)
Looks even better in person :teehee:

Hint: that was sarcasm. :-)

Well seeing as you used the word 'proper' I can only assume that you don't think my current dash is a proper dash! If I wanted it to look Spartan, I would take almost everything out! :P

Fits perfectly! And looks awesome :D
will look even better when the dash goes in too, hopefully this weekend :-)

That's all for now, other than that I need new points :(

P.s. I was warned that I may have troubles with room between the console and the clutch pedal, but mine is fine :D

I genuinely thought you meant to have the 3 clocks in the middle!

Haha! You can't say anything! You had better be getting that wheel bearing sorted today! :teehee:
