Do you mean go to college and take my GCSEs again? You can go to a college and take an exam thing that will give you your grade your working at and that should be enough, when I started my app the recruiter said they can provide this for me, had my BARB today aswell, scored 64 :)
64? Nice! That opens you up for all jobs! Well kinda. Education could get in the way haha. What are your 3 choices?
Well I'm yet to hand in the application. Read the previous page.how is this going daryl?
Just need some proof of education and to write my references down. Other than that, I just need to keep my fitness training up. I believe the 1.5m run time I have to aim for is 12:45 but of course, the lower the better.

Ahh, medical. When I went to my local GP surgery to get the details of my GP, I mentioned to them I'm applying for the Army and that I'll need to book a medical at some point. She said it will take 30 minutes and cost £116. £116! But she said the Army typically get sent the invoice but to speak to my recruiter.
I take it the Army paid for your medical?

Went to the school I did my GCSEs at on a Monday, was told I would get a phone call by Friday. The phone call never came so I went up to the school around 3pm and the exam lady said "sorry, I should have rung you. I couldn't find your name in the roll (she shows me the list of names for 2003 GCSEs here). I suggest your next step is to contact your old school".
*Sigh*
So I went home, rang my old school up and explained the situation. The lady said she doesn't expect to find my name in her records as I didn't do my GCSEs there. I told her what the exam lady in the other school said and she said she'll get back to me on Monday as they were just about to leave.
*Sigh*
Got a phone call on Monday. SUCCESS! She had my results! She asked if I wanted them over the phone or in a letter. I said I require them in a letter as I need proof of results on letter-headed paper. Et voila! The results came the next day.
So I just got back from the AFCO where I handed my application in. They asked when would I be free to do the BARB test. I now have a date for next Tuesday at 9:30. WOOHOO!
I did the practice BARB tests on the Army website about a month ago and did really well but going to do them again and again every day until Tuesday.
Big smile on my face!
