Started stripping it off today and found a few surprises..

Didn't even bother taking a photo of the A panel, it came off in my hand..

From this...

To this..

I thought this would be an unusual shot.. picture taken down the sill..

Then the wing fell off ;)

Look at the state of the actual wing.. the part that goes under the headlight fell off in my hand!

So yeah, thats where im at so far... Anybody got an idea where i should start at? I know i need to put a patch in where the upper suspension bolts to.. Can i do this with the engine in place?

Exhausted now, my girl arms need building up!  :D

Good start! :thumbsup:

If it were me I'd just keep stripping back, for two reasons;

1) As you're doing an engine conversion more space to work is better.

2) May as well find out what the overall state of play is, if the rot is that bad all the way through it might be more economical to re-shell it and be done with it that replace every panel.

If you need bigger arms for anything, gimme a shout.

You should start where you feel most comfortable either front or back you will need the engine out to get access to the floors and toe board as this will most probably need repairs and I will say this is no quick project it looks pretty crusty. There was a very good shell on here for sale not so long ago that would probably work out much more economical in the end trust me I'm in up to about 1200 on my shell so far

On a serious note though, im thinking of starting at the upper damper mount.. looks a little crusty there.. then maybe the scuttle and work my way down?

get the engine and subframes off, interior out, and get it on a dolly of some sort.... pallet on castors, or a spit if funds allow

Be careful though, when the weather turns you might end up with this instead of your car...

There all pretty standard panel replacements to be fair, all of the most common places to rot, in one car! A Perfect car to learn how to repair and replace panels. BUT you might be better off finding a donor shell/car if the price is right.

but OMG its bere totes amazeballs rusted thou LOL ROFL!!!!!!!!1!1!!!!!!
