All these <£1000, surely they're TPFT and not FC? I can't believe a 17-yo would be so low on a 998, let alone a 1275.

just phoned up fluxdirect to inquire about my quote on the online compare sites, they said that they don't register mods on the compare sites so they phone you afterwards with the real quote but they do also give 12.5% club members discount with the mods and the discount it still puts it up though, so having a stage 1 kit puts it up from £990 to £1070, and that is also including the discount.

Archer.

Any modifications from a std production will affect your insurance..........I put alloys many years ago without telling the insurance co and I was not insured..........so always tell them even if you just change the radio headset................. :proud:

Not true for all insurance companies, I'm on footman James and a woman I talked to on their call line said they charge extra for extra BHP

I'm 16 atm, and have had quotes of £1400 FC and £1190 TPFT at 17, with a completely standard 998.. I think declaring the stage 1 stuff boosted it up to around £1800?

My insurance cost me £755. Fully Comp, 998 Mayfair, Provisional (Hopefully not for too much longer!) Will go up to £1500 once I've passed.

I got £900 TPF&T for an 18 year old, 4k mile limit from Footman James on a 998cc with stage 1. But I had written off a car 6 months previously at a cost of £4k. Now I have a years no claims I'm looking at £600 fully comp for the same.

My 998 5 years ago cost me £1153 to insure tpft. How are you lot getting it so low? The only way I could of got it at that price was to be a named driver on my mums insurance but that's fraud and most insurance companies realised my mum had 3 cars insured to her name.

I pay £478 for my astra now and I am 22 with 5 years ncb and no convictions. Also I live in a really secure place.

third parth fire and fetht or fully comp dosent tend to make much diffrence, because in the event you shunt a footballer off the road in his bently and snap his leg , the 1500 your cars worth is prety in segnificant :P
