Im going to sell the 998cc I just pulled out of the HAWG.

What does an engine like this usually sell for. It has 84K on it runs amazing and includes gear assembly. Distributor and alternator could be changed though.

Well while the back end still had tires I settled the front on one of the kids fisher price karts and pushed the mini into the garage. That way when the wheel are off and the support frame comes in she is already in place.

Baby steps.

Oh dear, sounds like the captive nuts have freed themselves... I think it's going to be painful getting them off without a flame cutter. You may be able to get a die grinder in there and grind the heads off?

OK so inside the boot or trunk I was able to grind the bolts off but everything outside is still stuck..

So I wait until the torch comes around again.

Sigh

IM thinking about going MINI VTEC on this. Does anyone know of someone who has the dimensions and parts list to make your own subframe to support a B or D model engine?

Help,

Trying to get the pedals out. I was able to detatch the clutch cylinder but not the device the brake pedal is attatched to. It looks flush on both sides of the pedal. Does this thing even come off.

Thanks

The dimensions for the honda swap might be on the forum somewhere, I know that it would be a lot of work to do it.. it's normally a lot of work to get a premade one fit up with an engine.

I'm not sure about the pedals, hopefully someone else can chime in and give a good tip. Good luck!

Thanks Roach,

It appears If I remove the pedal box this should fall out. So now Im left looking for a couple screws to remove the box. Tight spaces driving me mad!

Pedals are out. Once all bolts appear to be off hammer the pedal box from the engine side of the firewall.

Thanks Recedes!

Im in the right Ball park. My engine is for sale on KIJIJI in Ontario Canada. I think I may sell the subframe with it. $400CDN. Ill even deliver it Between Ottawa and Southern Ontario.

Right now Im ligning up wood for braces against the support bar that will allow the mini to rotate freely 360 degrees.
