Ordered some panels from somorford today. The door/step rear quarter repair panel and the heelboard repair section. I will get right on it when they arrive! + if we get snow i will be out working on the van alot as i wont have to go to work

Done a little bit today as the mrs agreed to help out ! so i gave her the job of stripping all the doors down to asses the damage!
The front doors are ok but need new skins and some repairs to the bottom edge window channels are ok. The rear doors are quite past it and i think i will be looking for a better driverside one. The passenger side one is slightly better condition.

i did some more zinc brush painting on the inner sill and the rear inner valence

Got the insides of the crossmember and doorstep painted with zinc 182

Thats all for today as it was VERY cold out and the heater was not helping at all. I will be doing some more at the end of the week my list of jobs is getting much shorter ! :)

I need help! what panel do i need for the inner rear quarter? saloons have a closing panel behind the quarter next to the heel board / subframe mount what do vans have? i made one for the d/s but dont really know whats correct?

Can you post a pic or two of the area you're talking about, and then I can compare with my Van? There are plenty of pics on my Fickr of that area being done.

i have looked at your pics and i think i know what i need to do. i need to buy a saloon panel and make one out of 2 thanks for your help mate!

Drilled some holes today ! you think that going to be enough! XD

dropped it in the gap to have a look :)

Bare metaled the area under the crossmember and gave it a coat of zinc 182

Still a few things that need to be done before this caan be welded in but hopefully that will be soon!
i need it in so i can remove the brace to allow me to try the door on so i get the door step in the right place !

Mate came over today so we got some work done to the van only got a few pics tho. Welder needs a new tip so i couldnt do any welding so was prepping and drilling holes!



Got a speedo and pod from a tmf member! i had to test it out!

Tomorrow i will be going to get a new tip for the welder and then hopefully i can get the doorstep and sill welded on! then the passenger side will be getting close! yayyy then its front end!

I may be making a gas bottle wood burner for the tunnel soon as its very cold out there and im being told off for using to much electric!
