right i know i need to fit the front frame to fit my front end on but what would be better for this solid mounts or the normal rubber ones?

I've gone for solid toe board mounts and poly bulkhead mounts. Kind of half and half rigidity and comfort as I've heard if you go complete solid it can rattle the fillings out your teeth!!!!!!!! (that's a joke by the way)

Wont this put stress on the toeboard ?

Yes. You should go all solid or not at all

I will be using the standard mounts in the end I just wondered what was better for lining the front panel up ! Got solids on my daily and it's being ripped apart so I don't want that happening to the van.
Also I need help from someone with a mk1 mini need measurements around the radiator shroud panel so I don't weld mine in the wrong place!

Grinded all the welds down today then cleaned it all up with 80 grit on my DA and gave it a coat of zinc 182.
Here it is before grinding down!
Posted Image
Cleaned up the rest of the sill aswell and painted it all up with 182

Posted Image
Removed the bulk of the d/s so i will get that welded in soon
Posted Image
The i started to paint strip the bulkhead as it has been painted with no rubbing down and its all peeling off!

Got a lot left yet! I still need to re- skin all the doors :/ but hopefully the shell will be done soon apart from some cleaning up/ grinding
