Where you get repair panel for the floor with tank hole cut out?

this panel is available from somerford mini search it on google :) I get all of my panels from them as they have very good exploded diagrams so you know your getting the right panel!

Right im back i havent been on in a while! i have done some work to the van with the help of my mate but have no pictures yet as i left my camera at work ! basically p/s rear quarter is all welded up, crossmember is nearly done, Rest of front end has been removed and the scuttle panel is gone! i will try to get some pics later on! both subframes are also going off for blasting sometime soon. I have finished the blue mini aswell!

Right small update!
i have not been well for the last few days but managed to get out today strip the radius arms and clean all of the components for the front and rear subframes ready for wire brushing and painting.

And heres a better pic of the full front end removed.

Next i will be removing some more of the inner wings both sides, ordering those panels, cleaning subframe components up and ordering some etch and 2k gloss black paint. need to get the frames to the blasters sometime too!

Right decided not to get the front subframe blasted just cleaned it up with the wire wheel and etched it up along with all of the bits to go with it :) got bored with welding so want to get the front frame all built up ready !

hopefully tomorrow after work i can get them painted black! but i need to find a way to hang the subframe up the floor isn't brilliant !

Got them all painted in black 2k paint! IT WAS VERY HARD TO GET THE SUBFRAME UP THERE! LOL


Hopefully my parts should come from minispares tmorro an i can start building it up!

right i know i need to fit the front frame to fit my front end on but what would be better for this solid mounts or the normal rubber ones?

Got the fuel tank bare metaled, filled a dent, etched and the high builded ready for stone chip when it turns up! Also gave the speedo housing a coat of high build as i was not happy with the rattle can primer. That will be painted and clear coated tomorrow! and hopefully the front subframe can be built up if my parts arrive...
Here is a picture of the tank guide coated ready for a light rub down before stone chip! i only DA'ed it with 80 grit as stone chip covers all scratches and going up the grades would be a waste of paper!

Heres the speedo housing all guide coated to!

More updates after more painting tomorrow! i want to make the mountain look alot smaller by getting all the odds and ends painted so then i just have the shell and doors to finish!

Van will be the old Yukon grey not the rover version. Trim and details in black and OEW cheers!

I remember asking now doh!! as said thinking the same for my pickup or a blue to keep original but not sure which blue I like most probs be speedwell

Yeh my mrs wants hers in speedwell blue one of the nicest mk1 colours
