If I know that flush with the bootlid apature = 20lt and I can measure what I'm adding to get the right size for the job... when I pick a sub of course

Currently looking between a JBL P1224 and a JL Audio 10W6v2-D4 (second hand).
Heard anything good / bad on them?

The W6 and 7 are some of the best subs ever made SPL and SQ. The JBL is a burger van burger compared to the JL fillet steak...

Okay, so on that basis I'll give the guy a pm and see if he'll post it to me.
If not I'll have to try and exercise supreme patience (apparently not my strong suite) and not buy a JBL in the meantime!

I was looking for 10w6, that'd be why

It's kind of tempting, aside from being in Lancashire but he may post. Only reservation is taking his word on the condition of the amp, the one I'm looking at is fresh from Gordon.
Oh the choices! First world problems

BUT the size of the 12" W6 I would (need to) mount it arse out if you are doing a right hand boot enclosure.

It's a rather cool idea though. But I must be strong and resist.
Enclosure wise I've got the same set up as you currently but depending on the volume requirements will either add some mdf rings or bring the whole wall forwards to suit, rear facing is an option but is probably save more space by altering the board than the whole arse of the speaker poking into the boot. I think

The P4 came in at over 180 per channel bridged.
More than sufficient I think... For now
