Ey i know right check me out! , its the tidiest car i,ve seen thats 30 year old i'l be honest
.
Needs just minor parts doing over time but chuffed as punch i,ve found one, oh and it was local too, just 5 minutes cycling down the road haha the guy i bought it off was 63 and a really nice bloke (and his brother), he say's he has a few spares for metros and is giving me them so i'l be given a few bits and bobs possibly .
Definatly advise more people to get metro's before they all get broke up for parts or nicked for the engines
Fear not, this is staying standard

I had a couple of Rover metros in the past but I think the old ones have so much more character.
Will you be adding any more info on the metro? hope so!

Back to the chekmate Part 2
So todays progress showed so actualy progress (yes you heard right, i,ve done something on the Checkmate!!!!)
Got the radiator top bracket and rad/cowl all put back on the subframe along with the solid mount kit:
Got the top engine steady bar support almost finished, just need to drill a few holes and weld in place;
Fabricated a shocker sandwich panel that the original had rotted and kinda got a bit mangled :
Need to make one more lip to spot weld to and the flitch can be welded in place, so did the final bit of trimming on the flitch repair today:
Thanks cya byeee
