Hi folks, nothing much progressed today due to the weather, just some electrical jobs....

I have got the whole nearside lighting and wiring finished, just need to finish the bodywork on that side and the side repeater can be fitted, along with the Indicator and Headlamp.

Also another little thing done today, I plugged the rear loom and front loom together and taped them up

Also I made this a few days ago but havn't had chance to plug weld in position, so i've just drilled the plug holes today and hoping for some good weather so I can fit it, it's for the windscreen washer bottle to mount onto the innerwing, the old one was thrown away with the old inner wing.

Thats all for now, i'l leave with a little inside photo of the inner sill, still pleased with how it's turned out :)

Yeah going to be selling it and giving the money to my Mum to spend or something.

I'm in a similar position, already have the Metro which is up and running ready to be improved and cleaned up abit after this :)

Update!,

I've plug welded in the Washer Bottle clamp I made before and then pulse welded along the top edge for abit of extra shear force as the washer bottle being removed and replaced puts more load on it than usual.

DSCF4449_zpsa1ca76e3.jpg

DSCF4450_zpsdff89c0d.jpg

Also I didn't grind down the plug welds because the were acting as a good wedge and kept the bottle solid in it's new home :)

Another little wiring job I metioned needing to do previously, the terminal in the lid of the servo had completly corroded away, there was no other way I could see of repairing it as the terminal went all the way down the lid and was melted into the plastic so best just to solder a piece of Thikish cable to the upright stem (about 20mm of solder holding it on) and shrink wrap the exposed end, came out quite neat after crimping the spade termminal on the end.

DSCF4451_zpsa30d53a7.jpg

And finaly heres a plate i'm currently making for the servo and clutch master cylinder to mount on, it's about 1.5 to 2mm thick so isn't bending quite as easy as what i'm usualy fabricating with, also SS bends funny around the edges of the bend, quite different to mild steel in many ways.

Anyway, CAD Template:

DSCF4452_zpsa3ac08fb.jpg

DSCF4453_zps6f53528d.jpg

And half bent:

DSCF4448_zps1987bdfe.jpg

Thats all for today folks, will probably spend abit of time grinding down welds on the other innerwing next in preperation for fitting the N/S Wing, and also i've still got to fabricate and under scuttle fillet pice for that side also.

Thanks for looking,

Cliff

Hopefully not!, better to have too much than too little ;),  To be honest even if there wasn't a bracket the gap the bottle goes in is so small it wouldnt move around much anyway! >_<.

Next job is the N/S Innerwing, should make some good progress the next update and have the front Bar the A-panels done!!, still having major issues with those unfortunatly, looks like i'l be re-doing the whole lip that spot welds to the Wing just because they come up sort about 15mm, repo poo!

Got abit done earlier before the heavens really opened!, the N/S wing is now ground down and Zinc Primed, I've then sprayed a layer of StoneChip and next time I get a free break in the weather i'l be brush painting it in Chassis black and fitting the wing.

Just a little Fabrication today, i'm home alone and looking after our 24 year old cat alone which is quite a time consuming thing really, he's getting on is our Mickey but still trying his best to do everything he used to do, apart from go outside.

Anyway, made a little under scuttle fillet piece as per the other side, fits ok:

DSCF4473_zps15f7cc7b.jpg

And i've just given the Innerwing a coat of Chassis Black but heres a picture of the Stonechip, looks like an aged OEW paint job:

Weeeellllllllll, the mini now has a pair of Wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

006-2_zpsddb47729.jpg

No....no!...........not those types of Wings, but nice idea there ;)

It infact has the steel type welded into place and secured.

Not too happy atall with the first wing I did, so going to re-do the back edge so it sits further up at the scuttle corner, must be my innerwing wection sitting too low when I made it :( damn and blast!!.

Also welded in the under scuttle fillet piece I recently made, just before dooing so guess what I found in the garage ?

DSCN0724_zps722ed264.jpg

YARP, i'd already Fabricated the piece before and completely for gotton about it, genuinly can't remember making it!, atleast theres a spare now :P Haha.

Also had abit of help from my old man, he brought the hole cutting kit home from his works and got to cutting my stainless bulkhead plate, its pretty think stuff being 1.5-2mm, nevermind the fact its stainless aswell!, so got a nice photo of it going lets say....quite warm ? :o

DSCN0738_zpsa1199a61.jpg

I think that's all the photos i've taken, apart from these last random ones below:
