 it's like 10 problems fixed 10 new problems to solve!

 

 

Welcome to the world of minis grace :lol:  its common to get such issues (rust ;D ) revealed as you go along.

I shall try to keep updates frequent but alot happening at the moment i.e work related.

 

Weathers windy but sunny so im going to do something NOW, this secons so i get update something haha byeeee's

Another DAY:

 

Over the past few days the weathers been confused so had bits & bats of time to do stuff, started cleaning up engine parts for re-fittment & got cracking on the flitch prep & bulkhead repairs...

 

Radiator top bracket in primer:

Today i did one repair :(  but here it is anyways ;-)

Haha, im doing bits here and there, painting up the radiator and mount for re-fitment.

Same I've got my work carried out but I'm collecting parts for mine did quite a bit last week but I'll get back on mine over weekend

Yeah its not a bad one but still needs the usual patches but atleast i,ve caught it early :)

 

Ahh its older than me twice over no doubt and needs attension but plods along :proud: , the penetration isnt up to scratch in my opinion

If the penetration is lacking then up the power or go that bit slower as you weld. A grinder will always make a poor weld look good and as long as the penetration is good then more work will improve your skills. Rome was not built in a day. Take your time and all will be good.

Yeah i,ve upped the ampage abit today but still not quite there, im balancing it well so far as to not burn through but get good penetration still.

Ahh i first realised this when i ground down & saw a hairline crack :cry:  haha

 

Yeah patients isnt my strong point but im getting better :-) , i'l work on the shocker next possibly and the flitch but doing small parts till im better at my welding again

your welds look great cliff ile have to get some help when i start mine. my first time welding and i have got to do almost every panel god help me i say. i sin your floor pans for sale was thinking about using them for my mk1? i dont suppose you have any panels that will be any use for me? i was thinking about buying a complete floor to make it easier for me.

Ah chears tom, i know im doing myself out of selling them but id advise strongly you go for a complete m-machine mk1 floor which included floor, outer sills pre-spot welded on, tunnel, crossmember & heel board.

Yes it'l be alot more (roughly £500-£700) but worth it all tom not only in time but fitment and labour also.
