ahh i put those little black gaskets behind the plate they helped alot and i brought some l.e.d bulbs made it abit better but can only see the middle of the plate. but its all good mate looks alot better then the original big one anyway cheers for that.

Ahh good, just making sure it was a success still .
About the light, you might aswell try this trick.....I have just looked at my mk1 reg light & its just the bare black colour behind the bulb, you should try putting tin foil (shiny side exposed) & glue it to thd inside. This should make the light projection a lot more focus on your reg plate.

good idea mate will add that to the list to lol cheers.

No worries, not sure on difference in thickness of tin foils from brand to brand but if there all the same thickness i'd just flaten out a pre-cut to correct size ..kit kat wrapper

Ahh you smart arse , yeah would be great if you can get it to lay smooth, a smooth flowing surface is key as not to scatter light but just reflect it.
Although the heat of the light might melt the crisp packet & how ever unlikly it is a fire risk or something id avoid, tin foild reflects the heat aswell as the light.

yes i think tin foil is a better idea lol i dont want to set it on fire just yet haha

Haha yeah play it safe ;), i'l be doing this on my light so if i get round to it soon i'l send you a before & after photo of how it improves the light.

Heres a custom bespoke inlet blanking plate (cardboard really) :
Heres various floor shots:
Im sure these didn't come stock with any mini varient :
Pulled the roof tar like stuff up to see this :
Rust hole in the bulkhead:
