i would paint it now as will be hard when front end is fitted? can allways wrap the engine up to stop the bodywork dust and etc getting over it. you going to be painting it yourself to?

Yeah good thinking, still needs a tart up at the side & starter, dizzy taking out as access is tricky.
Might just do that, yeah ofcourse i'l be doing it haha & probably brush paint.
Anyone know of a similar yellow to original 998 ?

DAY 7
Hello hello hello
So today i thought id better get doing some panel work so i started by removing the under scuttle gusset to inspect the rusting woes.
The scuttle was ok on the corners but the middle & bulkhead need work all along so chop chop (happy now you,ve jinxed me sonikk haha joking
).
This is how the day started:
So i first made a start on making a blanking plate for the freshair vent hole thats in the inner wing, this will be a test area when i get the welder running right:
Bye bye scuttle R.I.P.:
Next on the list was to peel back the front of the oversill:
Not good
Top class welders work haha:
Heater out:
Now for the shiney expensive stuff, new gen scuttle & top dash rail dry mock up:
Cya
Thanks
Cliff

Day (blah......) :
So past couple days weathers been crap but managed to sneak a few hours work here & there.
Dash & wheel off:
Had a look at the door bottoms:
Gave the bonnet a quick clean up as it turned my hands black everytime i lifted it off:
Also got a start on using a welder again:
Both flitch repairs done & zinc primed:
Bulkhead primed also:
Freshair hole above throttle pedal half welded in place:
I'l just leave this here :

Cheers tom
It did improve yes (have a look on my previous update), would have been better if i didnt sit on the foil .
Probably not as i want to keep the checkmate original (wheels are hard to find ).

You really don't stop do you! Trying to keep up with all this work that's happened since I've last been on and it's like 10 problems fixed 10 new problems to solve! It's looking good though.
