I did a bit more tonight but not a great amount as I had to pick the dog up from the vets, he was really poorly last night so stayed in it was some sort of stomach upset and he is much better now.

I welded the little door catch panel that goes just in front of the door shut. Then spent a little bit of time cleaning the welds up. Lots more of that to do but was getting a little bit late to have the grinder spinning up.

Started to remove the scuttle but didn't get any pictures as its not completely removed (wanted to get the other one there to make sure I didn't remove to much metal.

Then I refitted the door to make sure everything lined up as it should as the shell seemed a bit on the flimsy side when the inner wing was removed. It required a slight bit of persuasion with a dead blow hammer to get the shut lines perfect but its looking good.

I the clamped on the A panel wings and new scuttle to see how they lined up.

Not to bad a little bit of fetteling required but nothing to major hopefully. They will be coming of and the prep behind the wings will continue.

That's all for now Late night at work tomorrow but hope to get another post up before or over the weekend.

Thanks for Looking.

Lol still not decided on the colour yet originally wanted to do it a deep metallic purple. I think the yellow on will be going in the classified section soon but I might be tempted to do that as well but it needs more work to get right because even tho it is solid the welding on the repairs leaves a lot to be desired so would have to cut a fair bit back. A fleet of mini's would be cool though or a least a his and hers.

Work on the mini has virtually stopped due to redecorating the house as well as being unmotivated by the poor weather and it being dark by the time I get home.

But I managed to pull my finger out last night and was motivated by the arrival of my new sandblaster.

Was a cheap sealey one but seems to do the job pretty well. Just need to get a proper hood now and sheet the shed down as it goes absoultely everywhere.

Abbie was left to it for a while but got sand in here eyes.

The sand does get everywhere and it’s a right pain to get rid of. A hood makes all the difference. I bought one of these but the plastic screen lasted about 10 mins before it was frosted. I took the screen out and use safety goggles. Never had a problem with grit in my eyes.

I have just ordered one of these

Hopefully it will be a bit better than the last one.

Pete
