Rear lights arrived today could resist getting them fitted. Left hand side needs the rubber jiggling slightly though. I also strapped the tank down.

Doors are on. But no parcel in the post this morning so that is as far as I got...

This is a really nice build and she is coming along nicely :)

Little update got the boot and bumpers fitted and made a start on the brake lines (oh how I wish I had fitted those whilst it was up on the spit).





Headlights fitted too.



Handbrake works now. Titanium clevis pins and KAD Quadrants the stop the grot getting in.



Pig of a job... but they are fitted. Ordered a new 3 way union for the back then found the original tonight, always the case!

Hi all and sorry to any body that was following this project. Once again the mini got left to gather dust but again my interest has been re kindled and I've made some more progress.
Some really late nights and the Photobucket problems have stopped me posting any updates but I am trying Imgur so here goes.


So I picked up the engine. Its been in my friends garage for the past 4 years 🤤

Gave it a good degrease and clean to find its a unipart gold seal engine.



After that came a spot of uht engine paint.


Shiney new rocker cover as well as a few other gaskets replaced.

Then put it back where it belongs.


The carb looked pretty sad so after it had a service the top got polished up and the stage 1 filter and other goodies were added.


More bits added


Servo, master cylinder, whiper moto etc. Looking like a real engine bay now.



Took a little break from the engine bay to fit new special arches and its rolling on a new set of mini lights


Grill added and the bonnets ready to go on.

The engine is now running too. New points plugs leads etc etc and it fired up with very little fuss and runs beautifully. Pretty happy considering it hasn't been on the road for 12 years and i know the engine hasn't turned over for 4. Small oil leak from the gear linkage seal which needs addressing and a fine tune of the car/timing and its pretty much good to go. Clutch is bled. Need to do the brakes and address the interiour and the odd little bits and pieces and it'll soon be MOT time.
I'll try to update in less than 7 month this time but I'm not promising lol.
