1979 Mini. DLW 415T. The front end was bodged with fibreglass, gearbox jumped out of gear, had to pump the brakes to make them work. But had a straight through centre exhaust and wide 10" wolfrace steels. Crashed it twice but still it lived. Wish I never sold it. Brought another Mini though.

'79 red mini clubman bought for £50 (bank holiday may 1993) came with no key (screwdriver) and no rear floorpan and a flat, drove it home with a combination of roads and alleyways...

Also had some bull bars front and rear which came in handy as I smacked into the neighbours garden wall parking up once I got home, believe it or not but the markings are still there on his wall

Owner thought I was buying it for a science project!

Well, in my short time on earth so far I'm on/own my forth car, it goes like this:

1st. Mini racing flame 1380 driven since three weeks after turning 17.

2nd. A Mini thirty, bought as a gift to restore with my Dad. This probably doesn't count though because it's been in the corner of the garage since Christmas :L I will get round to it I promise :D

3. The beast haha my Smart Roadster, which I had to swallow my pride and go on my Dads insurance because otherwise I couldn't insure it at all, it's ridiculous how 'roadster' effects insurance :( it's not even fast!

And finally 4. My recently acquired...
Rover metro... Ever since going to POL this year I enjoyed the metro scene so much I had to get one, however I won't be going anywhere fast, it's a diesel! But I Have plans for it, did someone say turbo diesel?

A renault 12, I paid £120 for with mot and tax.

Ugly car, with a dent in every panel, imitation leather seats that froze you in the winter, and burnt you in the summer, key half broke off in the ignition so the remainder was on a shoelace, and you started and stopped the car with the remaining half, and hung it on the indicator stalk when you were driving.

But it kept going and going and never failed me, and had character.

After a year I sold for £200, and I did nothing with it other then use it.
